How to Point Your Existing Domain to Cloud679 Print

  • 0

If you already have a domain registered elsewhere and want to host with Cloud679, you have two options.

Option 1 — Update Nameservers (Recommended)

This is the easiest option. See Article 7 for full instructions.

  • Set Nameserver 1 to: ns1.cloud679.com
  • Set Nameserver 2 to: ns2.cloud679.com

Option 2 — Update DNS A Record Only

Use this if you want to keep DNS managed at your current registrar.

  1. Log into your domain registrar
  2. Go to DNS Management
  3. Find the A record for your domain (@ or root record)
  4. Change the IP address to: 198.15.17.36
  5. Save the changes and wait up to 48 hours for propagation
⚠️ Option 1 (nameservers) is recommended as it automatically configures all DNS records including email. Option 2 requires manual configuration of all DNS records.
